Meet Meagan

Embodied Recovery & Somatic Coach

Certified & Trauma-Informed
Mountains

I'm Meagan, a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and somatic coach with over a decade in leadership, equity research, and systems transformation roles.

My approach integrates professional experience with profound personal healing following divorce, parent and child loss, long-term recovery, and healing from physical and relational trauma. For me, traditional approaches like therapy offered important knowledge, but didn’t fully help me change my behavior, relationships, or inner world.

By reconnecting with my body's wisdom through breathwork and somatic practices, I discovered that our most powerful selves emerge when we heal as an integrated experience.

Now, I leverage practical expertise with embodied awareness to guide others through their own transformations, saving them the confusion, time, and frustration I experienced.

The path to sustainable impact begins by honoring your body's intelligence. My role is to walk beside you, creating space for you to learn how to tap in and listen to your inner wisdom.

My Values & Beliefs

Impact outweighs intentions.
I value congruence between intention and behavior in personal growth and leadership. That means we commit to showing up and holding ourselves accountable to the work.

Sustainable change requires alignment.
I’m committed to meaningful, people-centered progress where bodies are honored and systems are redesigned. Forced results misaligned with your values or nervous system won’t last.

Everyone can access authentic living.
Regardless of our circumstances, we all have the capacity  to heal and overcome energies and experiences that no longer serve us, so we can participate fully and authentically in life.

All paths begin within.
My role is to teach you, not provide you with answers. The goal is to build self-trust, emotional resilience, and grounded safety so you move from alignment, not urgency, fear, or external pressure.

Credentials & Qualifications

Each of us is a living tapestry, woven from our experiences, accumulated knowledge, and people who’ve appeared
along our paths. Here, I’ve chosen to share pieces of my path so you can get a fuller picture: not just what I’ve studied or achieved, but where I was in life at the time—what I was carrying, learning, or surviving. For example, I was a single mom working full-time while earning my master’s degree.

In the 40+ years I've been on this earth, I’ve navigated grief, recovery, divorce, spiritual awakenings, and professional pivots. These moments shape not only my approach to healing and growth but also how I hold space for others.

Below, you’ll find my certifications, education, and work experience. More importantly, you’ll find the context behind them, because healing is never linear, and credentials alone don’t tell the whole story.

Addiction Recovery

11+ Years Sober

Since May 5, 2014

For over 11 years, I have abstained from alcohol and other drugs. The knowledge, self-awareness, and overall expansion gained from doing 12-Step work are some of the most impactful factors affecting who I am and what I can now offer others.

Certifications

Somatic Coach

Pause Breathwork, October 2025

The Pause Somatic Coach Cert. expands knowledge on body-led practices that support the nervous system and help process emotions and experiences. I look forward to enhancing my offerings with the program's intuitive exploration and practical tools.

Breathwork Facilitator

Pause Breathwork, November 2024

Breathwork impacted me so profoundly that I learned to guide the practice for others. After disappointing progress from traditional methods, breathwork helped calm my nervous system and supported me through three major losses—my marriage, my dad, and my job.

Certified Nonprofit Professional, CNP

Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, 2017

The CNP is the only nationally recognized credential in nonprofit management that provides learning and real-world experience. I worked and attended school full time while earning this credential. I attended the culminating, required conference shortly after giving birth.

Education

Master of Public Administration

Georgia State University, 2017

Bachelor of Human Services

Kennesaw State University, 2014

My education focused on social welfare, social justice, leadership, organizational behavior, nonprofit law, and public budgeting and finance. During my studies, I also held two graduate research positions while working full-time and as a single parent

This program focused on social entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, grant writing, and human resources. I was accepted to the Phi Kappa Phi Honors & Golden Key Honors Societies, and earned an additional management certificate from the university.

Experience

Senior Operations Manager

Westat, 2022-2025

In this role, I drove operational efficiency, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration for a virtually located team. My leadership helped ensure the efficient, sustainable impact of the federally funded National Comprehensive Center.

Senior Research & Policy Analyst

SREB & SEF 2017-2022

In these roles, my work helped advance the organization's missions through research, policy initiatives, and strategic partnerships. Unique research, funding acquisition, and operational improvements helped elevate their influence and effectiveness.

Mountainous Landscape

Reclaim Your Patterns

Define the Climb. Embody the Change.

We are all recovering in our own way, whether from trauma, grief, relational abuse, or substances. While our journeys may be different, the need to feel our emotions and embody what we learn along the way is the same. Defining Mountains is a metaphor for those unique stories, perspectives, and healing paths. Join me and other women breaking generational patterns, softening into our power, and reclaiming our innate wisdom through breathwork, somatic awareness, intentional integration practices, and community. You don't have to continue the way you've been going. You can learn to love yourself and create a life you want to wake up for. Let me help you uncover that possibility in yourself.
